Complete the two activities linked to the text.
Miss Cohen's, Emma's and Ms. Fullerton's groups - Learning 'x'
Now you have practised the sound, can you have a go at reading these words with Geraldine?
Miss Fernando's group - Learning special friends 'ure'
Can you practise using the special friends 'ure' to read these words?
Can you make your own sound book? After you have learned a new sound, write it in your book! Then see if you can draw some pictures with that sound and label its name.
Watch the two Tricky words songs.
Can you write a sentence for the picture below? Try to use some tricky words! An example sentence has been down for you below.
The pig is eating all the ice cream.
Remember to use a capital letter to start the sentence, finger spaces in between words and a full stop at the end of your sentence.
Do some doubles painting. Put some paint on one side of the paper. Be sure to count how many dots you have put there. Then fold the paper to help you find out how many there are if you double the number. For example 2 doubled is 4. You can see it in the example below.
Have fun doing your learning today! I look forward to seeing your work, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org
