Snowdon - Wednesday
This week we are reading...
Sunny lives in the Kalahari desert. Can you do some research to find out more about this place.
Where in the world is it? (NESW, continent, country or countries)
What does it look like?
What animals live there?
What is the climate like?
Here are some videos about the Kalahari Desert:
This first video is a programme all about the Kalahari and it was made by David Attenborough. We watched some of his videos when we were learning about the continents. There is lots of fascinating information in them so listen and watch carefully to see what you can learn!
You can use the encyclopaedia to learn more about the place!
Just type the name of the place into the search bar like this:
You can also find the place on a map using the atlas.
Task: Draw a picture of the Kalahari desert and write a bit about what you have found out. It could be where it is, what it looks like or even what animals live there!
Challenge: Can you label your picture?
Here is a link to the French Practice page on our website.
Something that I have really enjoyed doing this time is doing jigsaw puzzles. It is fun to solve the puzzle by finding the right pieces and putting them in the right place, and at the end you have created a beautiful picture!
