Let's practice retelling The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. Retelling is when we tell somebody the story again.
Characters are the people in the story.
Who are they? What are they like?
Setting is where the story takes place.
Where are they? A wood, a palace, a cottage, etc?
Problem is a situation the characters have to overcome.
What is the problem? How are the other characters involved? Does the main character need help in any way?
Solution is what they do to overcome the problem.
How is the problem solved? Who solves the problem?
Resolution is the end of the story where the problems are solved.
Does anything happen to the main characters at the end of the story?
Write down the ways you helped someone stay safe in the kitchen.
Practice the suffixes -ed and -ing.
You can write the correct words on a piece of paper or click on the photo to download the document and move the circles.
We are learning fractions! Fractions are parts of a whole. We can use numbers to show how many parts of a whole we have. One third is equal to one part out of three equal parts.
