Hands on Activity - Learn to Make Your Bed Yourself

It is important to learn how to do things for yourself. This is called being INDEPENDENT. Learning to be more independent and do things for yourself helps you:

  • learn new things
  • build self-esteem and confidence
  • make good decisions
  • develop responsibility
  • feel important and like you belong
  • develop coordination

Task: Watch the video below and have a go at making your own bed. It might be difficult to get it right if this is your first time but, don't worry, each time you practise you will get better and quicker at doing it yourself.

If you like, you can send me a video or photo of you making your bed at  I will post the photos in the new Independent Champions section of our Year 4 weekly page.
