Use the special friends split digraph to Fred Talk these words:
Can you make your own sound book? After you have learned a new sound, write it in your book! Then see if you can draw some pictures with that sound and label its name.
This week we are reading The Three Little Pigs. Build a house for the Three Little Pigs to keep them safe from the Big Bad Wolf. Use recyclables, Lego or any other items you have at home.
One you make your house, see if it will survive The Big Bad Wolf huffing and puffing trying to blow the house down. Blow at your house using a hair dryer (with your parents help) or just use your own breath. If your house blows down, see if you can rebuild it to make it stronger.
Can you tell your friends how you built your house for the Three Little Pigs? Draw and write a set of instructions so that your friends can build your house too.
Start your sentences using the words: First, Next, Then and Finally. We have used these words before when writing instructions to wash your hands. Here is an example of using the words to write instructions:
Help your family make a shopping list.
I look forward to seeing your photos of the Little Pigs house. I will share them on the WOW Board so you can have a try at making your friends houses next week.
Have a great day!
